PLAGUE

Director Matt Simpson and Producer Frances Moylan hit it out of the undead park with “PLAGUE.” The seventeen minute and one second short, zombie film is about a gun runner trying to survive in a world where there isn’t really anyone to sell guns to anymore. The main character, Vilhelm, just wants a new beginning in Britain, but it is not the kind of new beginning he was expecting.

The film was inspired by the Max Brooks best seller “World War Z” and Richard Matheson’s original “I Am Legend.” Simpson had been fascinated by the zombie genre since an early age and had been itching to make a mark on it for a while. We at Undead Fiction seem to think that it is a pretty good mark for a short film.

Currently Simpson and Moylan are working on a feature length script. It will be a Horror/Sci-fi with a dash of true events thrown into the mix and if they could make a film like “PLAGUE” in seventeen minutes, we can’t imagine what they will do with ninety and a bigger budget.
